• Tacori have lots of retail partners who sell their settings. However, each of these partners will offer a different quality of center stone
• In my experience, any additional stones (side stones, pavé, ) in a Tacori ring are a G in color and a VS in clarity
• You will often see an opening price (e.g. from $4,000), it is important to understand exactly what this price includes. Some retailers may appear to be selling Tacori jewelry cheaper; however, when you read the fine print you may find there are additional costs to pay.
• Remember that what will give an engagement ring value will be the quality of the center stone. A certified diamond will hold value in a way that a setting will not. Changes in trends and the natural wear and tear on a setting can make re-sale tricky.

Tacori Retailer Partner Tier Status

Tacori grade their authorized retail partners using a tier system. Blue Diamond denotes the highest, followed by Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Silver.

Tacori states that:

Blue Diamond partners are the most rare and precious of all Tacori partners. They have the largest inventory and best-in-class personal shopper service, as well as record sales of Tacori product.

I would advise using their system as a guideline. Not all of their retailers choose to display their position within the Tacori tier system on their own websites, meaning some good quality retailers may be overlooked.

Tacori at Since 1910

Since 1910 boast a ‘Blue Diamond’ grade from Tacori themselves. It is a family run business which, as the name suggests, has been running since 1910.

Pros

• If you are looking for Tacori, Tacori, and more Tacori, 1910 would be your ideal choice. They have the largest Tacori inventory of any online retailer
• They have both an online store and brick and mortar shop; this is great news if you are local to Garden City in New York, as you will be able to arrange jewelry and diamond viewings
• Their prices are extremely reasonable while still offering exceptionally high-quality diamonds
• Large selection of GIA certified diamonds
• 1910 will not hold diamonds that have visible flaws or imperfections (for example, and I2 and I3 diamonds)

Cons

• Their website is ever so slightly behind some of their competitors. Not all of the diamonds offered on their website are accompanied by a photo, and the technology quality for video and photography is a little lower than other websites

Tacori at Robbins Brothers

The Robbins Brothers have long been known across the West Coast USA as a trusted ‘family’ jewelers. Although they have expanded beyond the definition of a truly independent family business, their customer service and commitment to a happy shopping experience is still reminiscent of their roots.

Pros

• Brilliant instore customer service, and diligent response to online questions and queries
• Extensive selection of Tacori designs
• GIA certified diamonds

Cons

• Although the diamonds are certified, they are not of a particularly high quality and are overpriced
• Robbins Brothers also offer IGI certified diamonds; although there is no obligation to choose these, they are of a much lower quality and are not held by many reputable diamond retailers
• Do not offer some of the lower value Tacori settings. Prices begin at the $3,000 mark
• Much of the appeal of Robbins Brothers rests on their in-house experience; for this reason, they are not the best choice for an online purchase, and you can expect to pay a premium on the final product

When shopping for a Tacori ring, the same rules still apply; quality is everything, and with such detailed and crafted settings, a Tacori ring deserves to be set with the best diamond possible.
